On the first day, be welcomed to Luang Prabang where you are met by a Southern Breeze Travel representative and transferred from the airport to your hotel. The balance of your day is at leisure. In the evening, enjoy strolling through Luang Prabang’s fabulous night market where you can shop and bargain for unique handicrafts, having dinner and overnight in Luang Prabang.
On the second day, see long lines of monks in procession. After offering alms, visit the fresh market where local people go for shopping for daily life. Back to the hotel for breakfast, take a private car to visit the old Royal Palace National Museum, visit Wat Mai, Wat Xiengthong, Wat Sene, and Wat Visoun.
Take Lao food for lunch at a city restaurant. Afternoon, take a private car to visit the Kuangsy Waterfall, the most famous waterfall in Luang Prabang. On the way back, visit a Hmong village where you can buy gifts from the villagers. Arrive at the hotel, climb up to Phousy Hill, with its revered shrine, to view the sunset over the Mekong and mountain beyond. Have dinner at a city restaurant.
On the third day, after breakfast, be picked up at the hotel and take a cruise to the Pak Ou Cave. On the way, visit Ban Sanghai which is boiling Lao whisky. Have lunch at a local restaurant near the Pak Ou Cave. After lunch, take a cruise back to LPQ, on the way visit Ban Sangkong which is making paper and weaving Lao fabric. Transfer to the airport.
