Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou - Tinghir
Leave the lively Red City behind and climb into the High Atlas Mountains. Take in sweeping views from Tizi n'Tichka Pass, pass traditional Amazigh villages and discover the earthen lanes of UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou. Continue through Ouarzazate, palm-filled landscapes and the Valley of Roses as the colors of southern Morocco unfold. Reach Tinghir for a welcoming Moroccan dinner and a restful night at your hotel.
Day 2: Tinghir - Todra Gorges - Merzouga
After breakfast, step between the towering cliffs of Todra Gorges and feel the scale of this extraordinary natural wonder. Journey past oasis towns and rocky desert plains until the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi appear on the horizon. Climb aboard a camel and cross the soft sands as the setting sun turns the dunes amber and gold. At your desert camp, enjoy welcome mint tea, a delicious Moroccan dinner and traditional Berber drumming. Look up at the stars and savor an unforgettable night in the Sahara.
Day 3: Merzouga - Valley of Roses - Marrakech
Wake to the stillness of the desert and enjoy breakfast before a morning camel ride across the dunes. Take your final photographs, then return through Erfoud, Tinghir and the Valley of Roses. Admire the changing scenery around Ouarzazate and cross the High Atlas once more before arriving in Marrakech.
Along the way, pause for photographs, breathe in the mountain air and so enjoy the changing colors of Morocco, from green valleys and earthen villages to endless dunes.
