Chișinău: Orheiul Vechi & Curchi Private Day Trip

Escape the city on a private full-day trip to Curchi Monastery and the ancient cave complex of Orheiul Vechi, including a traditional lunch and hotel pickup and drop-off in Chișinău.
Leave the city behind on this full-day private day trip from Chișinău to two of Moldova's most remarkable sites: Curchi Monastery and the historic cave complex of Orheiul Vechi. Traveling by private car with a guide, in a small group of up to 4 people, you'll be picked up directly from your accommodation in Chișinău for a relaxed, personalized day out.

Your first stop is Curchi Monastery, one of the most beautiful and richly decorated monastic complexes in Moldova, known for its striking blue-domed church and peaceful courtyards. From there, you'll continue to Orheiul Vechi, an extraordinary open-air archaeological and natural reserve where a cave monastery is carved directly into the limestone cliffs above the Răut River. You'll also visit the traditional village of Butuceni, with time to explore its rustic charm, panoramic viewpoints, and centuries-old atmosphere.

A traditional Moldovan lunch is included, giving you the chance to sample local flavors in an authentic countryside setting. Depending on timing and practical considerations, the order of the Curchi and Orheiul Vechi visits may be adjusted by your guide.

At the end of the day, you'll be driven directly back to your accommodation in Chișinău, having experienced some of the country's most iconic history, architecture, and landscapes, without the hassle of arranging transport yourself. This tour is available in Italian or Romanian and is ideal for travelers who want a deeper, more personal look at Moldova's heritage.
