During your walking tour (2,5-3hr), you will be taken to the sights that make Rotterdam. The local (Rotterdam) guide, Yoreh, will tell you about how the city was founded at the river Rotte, how it developed over the years (including the Harbor and World War II) and what is to come in the future.
From iconic structures like the Cube Houses, Erasmusbrug and Markthal, to the Santa Claus Gnome, Maritime District, Old Harbor and some hidden gems, other tours won't take you. The tour will end inside the iconic Markthal, where there are toilets, drinks and lots of food! :)
Route and main sights:
We will start at Eendrachtsplein next to the Santa Claus statue: Is it that time of year already?! No, it is a statue with a funny twist!
Museum Quarter: If you feel creative, visit this location with the best museums and beautiful architecture.
Shipping quarter: This area in Rotterdam is right next to the main city center, but even locals forget about this gem from time to time. It is calm, beautiful and with breathtaking views of the river Maas and skyline. From there you will have views on and explanation about the Wilhelmina Pier, Hotel New York and The Photo Museum.
Erasmusbrug: The 137m 'swan' bridge, connection north and south over De Nieuwe Maas river.
Maritime District, Museum & Destroyed City statue: Rotterdam is missing its heart, and it's coming all together at this location.
The White House: No, not like the one in the USA, but with fascinating stories!
Oude haven: get cozy in the terraced filled old-harbor, which dates back to 1350(ad), with sights on the Cube houses.
Cube houses: The funny cube shaped houses, which form a forest.
Binnenrotte: the big market square, which hosts the Public Library and is close to the famous St. Laurens Church.
Markthal: The final stop will give you time to dive into the world's cuisine!

Kindly note, the tour will take up to 3 hours. There will be small sitting (when dry) and restroom breaks. In the case of city events or extreme weather, the route might slightly change, and the tour might last a bit longer or shorter. It is possible to take photos, but to finish the tour in-time, it is important to keep a steady pace. :)
The starting point is at Museumpark 20, 3015 CX Rotterdam, Netherlands. There are benches around the Chabot Museum.
You can recognize the guide by looking for the YELLOW umbrella or yellow RotTOURdam sheets.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the starting time. If you are running late, please let the guide know. The guide can wait a maximum of 5 minutes after the official starting time.
Tickets for public transport
It is good to know you can use your debit/credit card to travel by public transport, as long as it has contactless payment. This works for train, bus, tram, and metro.
From Central Train Station:
Tram 4 or 6 towards: Heemraadsplein, exit at: Eendrachtsplein
Tram 8 towards: Spangen, exit at: Rotterdam Museumpark
From the Cruise Terminal
Tram 3 or 5 (Towards Rotterdam Centraal) get of at stop ‘BEURS‘. From there it a 10-minute walk.
