Start your day with a coach transfer to a local farm in Te Anau where you'll spend an hour experiencing authentic New Zealand farm life. See working dogs rounding up sheep, watch sheep shearing demonstrations, and feed friendly farm animals. Enjoy morning tea while your local farming hosts share stories about life on the land.
Next, travel along the famous Milford Road, stopping at the best scenic spots for photos. When you reach Milford Sound, board a spacious vessel for a two-hour nature cruise. The boat has large indoor viewing areas with big windows and outdoor decks where you can get close to waterfalls and look for wildlife.
Keep an eye out for seals sunbathing on rocks or dolphins swimming in the fiord while your skipper tells you about this special place. Enjoy free tea and coffee during your cruise, and listen to the commentary in different languages through the Southern Discoveries app.
