From Entebbe: 6-Day Ugandan Safari & Gorilla Trekking Tour

Embark on a 6-day safari from Entebbe. Visit Lake Mburo, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi National Parks. Enjoy a gorilla trek, a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, and relax at Lake Bunyonyi.
Begin your adventure with a pickup from Entebbe and head to Lake Mburo National Park. Check in to your accommodation and, if time allows, embark on a late afternoon-to-evening game drive. Otherwise, relax and enjoy the evening at leisure.

The next morning, set out on a walking safari with an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger-guide. Encounter zebras, giraffes, elands, topis, and other wildlife up close. Take the trail to the top of the hills for panoramic views of Lake Mburo and beyond. Return to your accommodation for checkout and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park in time for lunch, followed by a game drive. Spot herds of buffalos, elephants, lions, leopards, warthogs, and various antelopes. Return to your accommodation for a restful evening.

After breakfast, head to the Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking. Spend the morning tracking habituated chimpanzees and other primates, including baboons and monkeys. Return to your accommodation for lunch, then enjoy a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. Marvel at giant hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. After the boat trip, embark on a brief late afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge.

Rise early for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. Look for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants, lions, and leopards. Return to the lodge, check out, and head to the Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions. Continue to your accommodation at the edge of Bwindi National Park, arriving in the evening.

The next day, receive a briefing at the rangers post before entering the Bwindi Forest for gorilla trekking. Spend an hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Return to your accommodation, check out, and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Admire the lush, green-terraced hills and the 29 islands scattered across the water.

On your final day, enjoy a relaxed breakfast with spectacular views of the Bunyonyi islands. Begin your return journey to Entebbe Airport, stopping for lunch and a photo opportunity at the Uganda Equator line mark in Kayabwe. Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon or evening for your flight home.
