This experience takes you from the historic Hacienda La Colpa, known for one of the region’s most distinctive cattle traditions, to the waterfalls of Llacanora, surrounded by green countryside and natural scenery.
Your experience begins at approximately 3:30 PM with pickup in Cajamarca. Leave the city behind and travel into the countryside to reach the former Hacienda La Colpa.
La Colpa is known for its traditional way of calling cattle by their individual names. During your visit, you will learn about this unusual local custom and discover how farming and cattle raising continue to be part of rural life in Cajamarca.
Explore the main areas of the former hacienda, including its historic chapel and artificial lagoon. You will also have the opportunity to taste local dairy products, offering a glimpse into the farming and culinary traditions for which Cajamarca is known.
After visiting La Colpa, continue toward Llacanora. As you leave the hacienda behind, the scenery gradually changes to a more natural setting surrounded by fields and vegetation.
In Llacanora, enjoy a short and easy walk through the countryside until you reach the Hembra and Macho waterfalls. Walk at your own pace, enjoy the fresh air, admire the waterfalls, and take photographs of the surrounding landscape.
Rather than being a demanding hike, this part of the experience is designed as a relaxed outdoor walk where you can enjoy the scenery and discover one of the natural areas around Cajamarca.
After visiting the waterfalls, begin the return journey to Cajamarca, arriving at approximately 7:00 PM.
