Laguna Parón is a natural jewel located in the Huascarán National Park, in the Cordillera Blanca, Peru. Located at 4185 meters above sea level, this lagoon is the largest in the Cordillera Blanca and is surrounded by imposing snow-capped peaks such as Artesonraju, which inspired the famous Paramount Pictures logo.

Its bright turquoise waters, fed by glaciers, create a stunning contrast with the mountainous landscape and are perfect for spectacular photos. In addition, the lagoon offers a panoramic view of iconic mountains such as Pisco, Pirámide de Garcilaso and Caraz.

Ideal for nature lovers and trekking, the hike to the lagoon is of medium difficulty, making it accessible to most visitors. You can also explore the surrounding area and enjoy unforgettable views from the lookout point.

ITINERARY:

7:00 a.m: We head north of Huaraz, passing through Jangas, Anta airport, Marcará, Carhuaz, Mancos, Yungay.

9:00 a.m.: Arriving to the city of Caraz, where we will make a stop to have breakfast typical of the region, visit the main square and surroundings.

10:00 a.m: We will arrive to the Parón ravine where we will begin the walk to the Parón lagoon, in the viewpoint we will be able to take the classic photographic shots or enjoy the impressive view of the lagoon and the mountains, we will enjoy the beauty of the turquoise lagoon, surrounded by abundant Andean fauna and flora. We will have a great panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains Pirámide de Garcilaso (5885 masl), Chacraraju (6112 masl) and Artesanraju (6025 masl).

6:00 p.m. We will be back in the city of Huaraz.
