FROM AREQUIPA: 2 DAYS EXCURSION TO CHACHANI VOLCANO

Get ready to climb to the top of the Chachani volcano with this 2-day excursion from Arequipa. Recommended for true adventurers!
Day 1
We will pick you up at 7:30 a.m. in a 4x4 to embark on a most exciting excursion. Are you ready for a real adventure? At 10:00 a.m. we will arrive at Pampa Cañahuas, located at the back of the Chachani volcano. At this point we will prepare while the guide gives us some basic recommendations.
We will begin the ascent on foot for two hours through gradual, low-intensity climbs until we reach the base camp located at 5,200 meters above sea level. Here we will set up the tents and then we will have a lunch of soup and pasta or preserves.

When night falls, we will drink an infusion and go to sleep.

Day 2
The second day will begin at 2:00 am. After preparing again for the adventure and verifying that everything is in condition to continue, we will have a delicious breakfast to warm up. Afterwards, the highlight will come: the climb to the top of the Chachani volcano.

If the weather is good, around 5:00 a.m. we will have reached the summit of Chachani after an intense hike. Once there, you will have free time to recharge your batteries and contemplate the fabulous view of the volcanoes that surround the area: Coropuna, the snowy peaks of Ampato, Hualca Hualca, the active Sabancaya, Misti and Ubinas.

After this stop, we will descend towards the base camp. As we go down we will make several stops along the way to rest. Once we arrive at the starting point, the 4x4 will be waiting for us that will take us back to Arequipa. We will drop you off at your hotels around 7:00 p.m.
