Change into wetsuits and safety gear and head to the river via a scenic drive through the Chilina Valley to the Virgen de Chapi-Charcani Sanctuary, a small church along the Chili River where your tour begins.
Before entering the water, your guides will give a brief lesson on river safety and rescue, as well as explain the role of the rafting guides and the safety kayaker. The first section of rapids is Class II and useful for practicing rowing techniques and river safety.
