Full day excursion to the Salinas Lagoon Arequipa

Did you know that it is one of the 10 active volcanoes in the lagoon Salinas? Did you know that it is the only lake where you can observe three species of flamingos? Join us on this adventure!
- We will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa between 6:00 am and 6:30 am and begin our journey to the Salinas Lagoon, located on the edge of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserves.

- On the way we will stop in Chiguat, a typical village of the region, for a continental breakfast with juice, yerba mate or coffee, cereals and toast.

- Afterwards, we will go into nature and explore the flora and fauna of the Arequipa region around the Salinas Lagoon.

- During the trip we will see the Andean forests, which are made up of small trees and bushes (in this area they are called queñuales).

- Then we arrive at the Salinas Lagoon. If it is dry, it welcomes us with a snowy white colour. If there is water we can approach the shore and see the large quantities of salt that have accumulated and, in addition, we can explore the surroundings of the lagoon and the volcano of Lausana, as well as some thermal baths.

- At the end of the hike, we will have free time for lunch before returning to Arequipa. We will take you back to your respective hotels in the area at 16:30.
