On this complete excursion from Arequipa we will visit the Salinas lagoon and, in addition, we will enjoy a bicycle descent down the Pichu Pichu slope.
At 6:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa and depart for the Salinas lagoon, located more than 4,300 meters above sea level and between the Misti, Ubinas and Pichu Pichu volcanoes.
We will stop halfway to have a comforting breakfast and then visit the salt desert and Salinas lagoon. In this natural space we will enjoy watching native birds, among which a large number of flamingos stand out.
After watching the birds, we will visit the famous reflecting pools and you will have a free hour to explore the thermal wells on your own. Afterwards we will meet again to learn about the llamas, alpacas and vicuñas that live in the area.
Around 12:00 p.m., we will begin the second part of the excursion: we will enjoy an hour of cycling down Pichu Pichu. During the tour, we will feel the breeze while we contemplate the volcanic landscapes of the area. You will love it!
At the end of this bicycle descent, we will go to a restaurant in the area, where you can have lunch on your own. After eating, we will finally return to Arequipa.
