From Arequipa: Two-day excursion to the Chachani volcano

Get ready to climb to the top of the Chachani volcano with this 2-day tour from Arequipa - recommended for true adventurers!
Day 1
We will pick you up at 7:30 a.m. from your hotel in Arequipa in a 4x4 vehicle for the most enjoyable tour. Are you ready for a real adventure? At 10:00 we will arrive at Pampa Cañahuas, located at the foot of the Chachani volcano. At this stage we will get ready and the management will give us some basic recommendations. We will begin a two-hour hike, ascending progressively and at low intensity, until we reach the base camp at 5,200 metres above sea level. Here we will pitch our tent and then have soup, pasta or jam for lunch. When night falls, drink your tea and go to bed.

Day 2
The second day will start at 2 o'clock. After getting ready for the adventure again and checking that everything is OK, we will have a delicious breakfast to warm up. Then the most exciting part awaits us: climbing to the top of the Chachani volcano. If the weather is good, we will reach the Chachani peak in about 5 hours after an intense climb. There you will have time to recharge your batteries and admire the wonderful views of the surrounding volcanoes: Coropuna, the snow-capped peaks of Ampato, Hualca Hualca, Sabancaya, Misti and the active Ubinas. After this stop we will descend to the base. We will make some stops on the way down. When we reach our starting point, a van will be waiting to take us back to Arequipa. We will take you back to the hotel around 19:00.
