From Arequipa: 2-day trekking through the Colca Valley

This trekking route through the Colca Valley will take you to discover the beautiful landscapes of the valley, as well as learn about the tradition of the people and the Peruvian culture.
From Arequipa: 2-day hike through the Colca Valley

Day 1: Arequipa – Cruz del Cóndor – Sangalle Oasis
We will pick you up at your hotel (Centro Historico) at 3:00 am and we will head to Chivay, where we will enjoy a complete breakfast before continuing on the way to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. From there, we can contemplate the depth of the Colca Canyon before continuing to Pampa San Miguel to begin a trekking route.

Viewpoints, waterfalls, hanging bridges and impressive views await us as we descend the gorge. We will take a break to regain strength with a typical lunch at the home of a family from San Juan de Chuccho. With our batteries charged, we will continue the tour until we reach the oasis of Sangalle, where we will enjoy a swim in its pools and an afternoon of bonfires. We will spend the night here.

Day 2: Cabanaconde – Chivay – Arequipa
We will begin at 5:00 a.m. the route to Cabanaconde, where as soon as we arrive we will replenish energy with a traditional breakfast. After this we will head towards Chivay, passing through the natural viewpoint of Antahuilque and the town of Maca.

Around 11:30 a.m. we will arrive in Yanque, and we will spend a pleasant time in its thermal baths. We will have lunch in Chivay and then we will go to the Andes viewpoint, a perfect place to admire the panoramic views of the Hualca Hualca, Sabanaya and Ampato volcanoes.

After a last stop in Pampas Cañahuas to greet the vicuñas that live there, we will return to Arequipa. Arrival is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
