The Traditional Machu Picchu package is designed for those with less time. Over the course of 5 days, you will immerse yourself in the rich culture, history and traditions of the Imperial City.
ITINERARY
DAY 1
Arrival in Cusco - Transfer to the Hotel
Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, our team will be waiting for you to transfer you to the hotel. We recommend you try the traditional coca tea, to relieve the symptoms of altitude sickness.
Once you have checked into the hotel, our team will provide you with all the necessary information about the main points of interest in the city, as well as a detailed map.
Overnight in Cusco.
DAY 2
Archaeological City Tour in Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel.
From 9:00 am to 11:00 am: Start the day exploring the wonders of the Historic Center of Cusco with a local guide.
In the afternoon, we will begin the Archaeological City Tour with a visit to the different attractions within the city and its surroundings, such as Sacsayhuaman, the Temple of Coricancha and much more.
Overnight in Cusco.
DAY 3
Sacred Valley of the Incas and Aguas Calientes
Breakfast at the hotel.
On this day, we will leave in the morning to take the Tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be at the Taray viewpoint, where we will be able to enjoy the magnificent view of the Sacred Valley.
Next, we will visit Pisaq. Then, we will go to Urubamba and have lunch there, in the heart of the Sacred Valley.
At the end of the tour, we will arrive at Ollantaytambo. After exploring this fascinating place, we will take the train to Aguas Calientes.
Overnight in Aguas Calientes.
DAY 4
Private Tour in Machu Picchu - Cusco
Our team will pick you up at the hotel to take you to the bus that will take you to Machu Picchu. The trip from Aguas Calientes to the main entrance of the Inca citadel takes approximately 30 minutes.
Once there, our professional guide will accompany you throughout the tour, providing you with detailed information. After enjoying Machu Picchu, we will return to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco.
Overnight in Cusco.
DAY 5
Transfer from the Hotel to the Cusco Airport
Breakfast at the hotel.
Our team will be waiting for you at the hotel to take you to the airport 2 hours before your flight departs. This will be the last of our services.
Quick Tip:
If your flight from Cusco to Lima leaves in the afternoon, we encourage you to take advantage of the morning to visit some museums in the historic center, such as the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Regional Museum, the Qorikancha Museum and the Museum of Popular Art. And don't worry about the entrance fees, they are included in your Cusco Tourist Ticket!
