ITINERARY
Day 1: Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa
We will pick you up in Cusco from 4:45 am to 5:30 am to go by bus to Mollepata. We will begin a spectacular scenic drive through the Anta plains with beautiful panoramic views of the majestic Salkantay, and the Apurimac River valley. After 2 hours of travel, we will stop in Mollepata to have breakfast (not included). There we will meet our support staff. They will load the equipment on horses and mules. Around 9:30 am we will start our hike to Soraypampa, it will take us approximately 4 hours to reach Soraypampa the first camp, where we will have lunch after lunch in the afternoon we will visit the Humantay lagoon which takes 3 hours of round trip hiking from the camp to see the Humantay glacial lagoon. At night hot and delicious dinner.

Accommodation: Crystal domes and cabins.
Day 2: Soraypampa - Salkantay Pass - Huayramachay - Chaullay
Today early in the morning we will wake you up with coca tea. Around 5:00 am, we will have breakfast. Around 6:00 am we will begin the most difficult day of the entire Salkantay trek; we will be walking to the highest point of the trek. We will reach the summit of the trek. We will appreciate spectacular views of the mountains and the imposing snow-capped peaks of Salkantay (6264 meters above sea level) which is known as the second highest mountain in the Cusco region. After 2 hours of descent around 1:00 p.m. we will have our delicious Peruvian lunch, in the area called Huayracmachay. Then we continue our hike to Chaullay approximately 3 hours downhill we will arrive at our camp in Chaullay = 2900 masl where we will sleep in some very spectacular indigenous huts. Around 6:00 pm we will have dinner to recover energy from the hike.

Day 3: Chaullay | Collpapampa – La Playa – Aguas Calientes
At 06:00 AM, we will begin our hike to Santa Teresa Valley. 6 hours of hiking today. We will see a town called Colpapampa, also called the “eyebrow of the cloud forest”, where you can observe flora and fauna, we will even be able to see the beautiful bird called “El Gallito de las Rocas”, the national bird of Peru! After a hearty lunch in La Playa, we will take a transport to the hydroelectric plant for 1 hour and a half.
We will then walk 10 kilometers for 3 hours, to the town of Aguas Calientes, hotel overnight accommodation.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 4: The most important day: Machu Picchu!
Activity Summary: Tour of Machu Picchu.
Machu Picchu! We will wake up early to beat the crowds at the top of Machu Picchu and enjoy its serenity in the soft morning light. The entrance checkpoint to Machu Picchu opens from 06:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will climb Machu Picchu (optional bus ride for $12.00) and enter the hidden Royal Citadel of the Incas. Here we will have a 2-hour guided tour
