Located only 20 kilometers away from San Pedro de Atacama and at 2,300 meters above sea level, Cejar Lagoon is surrounded by salt crystals in the middle of the Atacama Salt Flat, in a really beautiful environment. It’s remarkable to say that its waters have a buoyancy level that is higher than that of the Dead Sea, because of the high salt and lithium concentrations. Nearby there are also the Ojos del Salar, also known as Eyes of the Salt Flat, two freshwater pools that invite it you to take a bath.
The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama to go to enjoy a refreshing afternoon in the lagoons in the Salar de Atacama. We will visit a plenty of lagoons around the heart of the Atacama salt flat. We will begin by visiting the Piedra lagoon, a body of salty waters in which we can refresh ourselves in its waters on which it is possible to float as a result of its high concentration of salts. Later we will visit the Cejar lagoon, a large lagoon with the presence of flora and bird life. Later we will visit the Ojos del Salar, two deep
freshwater eyes in the middle of the salt flat. And finally we will visit the Tebenquiche lagoon, a vast lagoon where we can make a circuit walking around it. We will finish this trip enjoying a cocktail next to the desert.. After this great experience, begin your trip back to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.
