DAY 1: CONNECT WITH NATURE AND RELAX
Travelers will be picked up at the airport or bus station and taken to the lodge. We will drive for 2 hours through the city of Puerto Maldonado, passing various plantations such as cassava, bananas, and pineapples. Once we arrive at Hacienda Lodge, lunch will be ready for you to enjoy.
After lunch, we will begin our exploration. We’ll walk through the forest to see giant trees that reach up to 30 meters high and explore the local flora and fauna.
There will be a night walk where we will observe a variety of animals, including tarantulas, snakes, and insects.
DAY 2: PARADISE OF MACAWS AND PARROTS
At 4:30 AM, travelers will set off by boat to explore the Tambopata River. The journey will last approximately 1.5 hours. During this time, we may spot wildlife such as jaguars, tapirs, and capybaras.
From here, we will arrive at the world’s largest clay lick: Collpa Chuncho. Here, we will observe three species of colorful macaws and three species of parrots, with groups of 80 to 100 individuals.
Once travelers have had the chance to observe and photograph the wildlife at the clay lick, we will return to the lodge by boat. We will have time to pack our things and enjoy lunch. After lunch, we will head to Puerto Maldonado by car. From there, we will navigate the Madre de Dios River for about 30 minutes before reaching our second lodge.
After dropping off our things, we will continue by boat to the Monkey House, where travelers will have the opportunity to feed and observe three species of monkeys.
DAY 3: TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE – LAKE SANDOVAL
After breakfast at the lodge, we will pack our things and head by boat to the Tambopata National Reserve (Lake Sandoval). Here, we will have the opportunity to observe animals such as giant otters, four species of monkeys, butterflies, and a variety of colorful native Peruvian birds.
Accommodation: Travelers will have the privilege of staying within the National Reserve at Sandoval Lodge, a simple and comfortable lodge owned by a local family. It offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature.
For lunch, we will enjoy a typical jungle dish called "JUANE" at Sandoval Lodge.
After lunch, travelers will have a few minutes to rest before exploring another part of the reserve, returning to the lodge.
In the evening, travelers will participate in our final activity. We will have the opportunity to navigate along the Madre de Dios River in search of caimans around Lake Sandoval.
DAY 4: AMAZONIAN SUNRISE – PUERTO MALDONADO
Experience an Amazonian sunrise as we prepare for departure to Puerto Maldonado. This morning, you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the Madre de Dios River while savoring a final nutritious breakfast made with organic ingredients from our pantry. Depending on your departure time, you can relax and wait comfortably for your bus home or your next destination.
