We will take you to the Historic Center to visit palaces, squares, the Cathedral and the mysterious subway catacombs. Then, we will visit the Larco Museum, one of the 25 most important museums in the world.
Tour the Peruvian capital, founded in 1535 as the "City of Kings", and marvel at its impressive colonial buildings. Stroll through the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral of Lima, the Government Palace, the Monastery of San Francisco and its fascinating subway catacombs. Then, visit the Larco Herrera Museum, founded in 1926 and located in a colonial mansion on top of a pre-Columbian pyramid. This museum offers an excellent overview of 3,000 years of Peruvian pre-Columbian history, with the finest collection of gold and silver from ancient Peru and a famous erotic gallery. The tour includes the option to have lunch at a local restaurant, or enjoy dinner at the Larco Museum's restaurant for an additional cost of 35 USD (includes a main course and non-alcoholic beverage).
