描述
Discover the hidden gems of Yorkshire on a private guided tour from York. Visit Easingwold, Crayke, Byland Abbey, and the Kilburn White Horse with a local driver-guide.
Start your private tour with a pickup from your York accommodation. Travel in a private vehicle with your driver-guide, who will share local stories and recommendations throughout the journey.
Begin with a stop in Easingwold, a charming Georgian market town. Spend 45 minutes exploring the market square, independent shops, and cafés, and soak up the relaxed atmosphere of a traditional North Yorkshire town.
Continue through the North Yorkshire countryside to the hilltop village of Crayke. Stop near St Cuthbert's Church, a peaceful historic landmark with strong links to the village's long history. Enjoy the chance to experience the small villages and hidden historic places that are easy to miss when staying in York.
Next, head to Byland Abbey, one of Yorkshire's great medieval abbey ruins. Admire the huge arches, striking west front, and peaceful countryside setting. Spend some time exploring the site and taking photographs.
Finally, stop at the Kilburn White Horse, one of Yorkshire's most distinctive landmarks. The White Horse is cut into the hillside below the Hambleton Hills and can be seen from miles across the surrounding countryside. Enjoy the wide views across the Vale of York before returning to York.
