Your unforgettable experience begins with a hotel pickup service in Cusco between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m. Enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive through the picturesque Cusipata district to Qollasuyo, where you'll stop for 30 minutes for breakfast.
Afterward, continue for another hour to reach the trailhead at an altitude of 4,850 meters. Here, begin your 3.5-kilometer hike to Rainbow Mountain, traversing flat and uphill terrain.
Begin your hike at the base of the majestic Ausangate mountain range, embarking on an approximately 1 hour and 20-minute ascent to the summit of Rainbow Mountain. Along the way, enjoy sightings of South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas, which will add a unique charm to your trip.
Once you reach the summit, at 5,010 meters, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the vibrant, multi-colored landscape.
