Deep-sky observing through a 500 mm GoTo telescope in Teide National Park, opened by a sunset toast above the clouds. Guided in Hungarian and English. Hotel transfer optional.
An astronomy evening in one of the darkest places in Europe, guided in Hungarian and English.

Teide National Park sits above 1,500 metres, above the cloud layer and the damp air that comes with it, and the skies over Tenerife have been protected by law since 1988 to keep them dark. UNESCO listed the park as World Heritage in 2007. On a clear night the Milky Way is not something you have to look for.

The evening opens above the clouds. From a viewpoint high in the park you watch the sun go down with a glass of sparkling wine in your hand. Once the light has gone, the group moves on to a second, darker site, and the sky takes over. Two locations in one evening, chosen for what each one does best.

Warm layered clothing and closed shoes are required all year round; sandals and sleeveless tops are not suitable.

The tour is outdoors after sunset above 1,500 m and gets considerably colder than the coast.

There are no toilets or other facilities at the locations.

There is no street address, so please enter these coordinates in your navigation app before you set off; mobile coverage in the park is unreliable. There is space to park at the side of the road. Look for our guide holding a 5 Stars Tenerife sign.
