Escape the city and experience the Swedish west coast in winter with a unique Nordic bathing adventure at Stora Amundön. Begin by making your way through the beautiful coastal landscape of Stora Amundön.
The island-like peninsula is known for its varied nature, with rocky shores, open meadows, and woodland overlooking the sea. Along the way, your guide will introduce you to the local landscape and Swedish outdoor culture. As you leave the more frequented areas behind, the surroundings become quieter and the sound of the sea takes over.
Once you reach your bathing spot, the wood-fired hot tub will be waiting for you. Step into the warm water, relax, and take in the surrounding winter landscape. With the sea just a few steps away, you’ll have time to enjoy the warmth, the scenery, and the company before taking on the cold.
Then it's time for the Nordic challenge. Step out of the hot tub and take a dip in the cold Swedish sea. You decide how far you want to go and how long you want to stay in the water. There is no competition and no pressure to push yourself beyond your comfort zone. The cold-water experience is completely optional. You are equally welcome to simply enjoy the hot tub and the atmosphere.
After your dip, return to the hot tub and let yourself warm up again. For those who want to, you can repeat the hot-and-cold cycle a few times, creating the classic Nordic contrast between heat and cold. Or simply stay in the warmth, relax, and enjoy the view.
