Basel:Colmar and Baden-Baden Christmas Markets Tour

Visit Christmas markets in two countries in one day. Enjoy door-to-door private transport from Basel to fairytale Colmar in Alsace and elegant Baden-Baden in Germany's Black Forest.
Discover two very different Christmas atmospheres on one unforgettable day. Your private driver picks you up at your hotel in Basel and takes you first to France, then to Germany, before bringing you comfortably back in the evening.

Your first stop is Colmar, the jewel of Alsace. With its colourful half-timbered houses, canals and cobbled lanes, the old town looks like a Christmas card. Colmar's several Christmas markets are spread across its historic squares, each with its own character. Walk through Little Venice, browse handmade decorations and taste Alsatian specialities such as bredele biscuits, gingerbread and hot spiced wine.

In the afternoon, continue across the Rhine to Baden-Baden, the elegant spa town on the edge of the Black Forest. Its Christmas market is set in front of the grand Kurhaus, among the trees of the spa gardens. It's known for its refined atmosphere, quality crafts and German treats such as roasted almonds, bratwurst and Glühwein. Stay as night falls and the lights make the market glow, then relax on the drive back to Basel along the motorway.

Because this is a private tour, the day is yours. Spend more time where you enjoy it most, with no trains, parking or crowded coaches to worry about. Our drivers speak English, German and Italian and can recommend the best stalls and places to eat.
