This half-day tour begins with a visit to Wat Umong, one of the oldest temples in Chiang Mai. Located in a lush green forest at the foothills of the Suthep mountain, it is now a well-known meditation center.
Explore the tunnel built by King Mengrai (the founder of Chiang Mai) to give monks a place to meditate in peace. See a Buddha field of broken sculptures and a library-museum in the temple area.
Continue to Phra That Doi Suthep, located at the top of Suthep mountain, where a relic of the Buddha is kept in the golden stupa. Climb a naga stairway to the main temple area and marvel at the views of Chiang Mai city from the balcony.
