Explore the famous Jozani Forest, home to a variety of primates and beautiful mangroves. Discover the Salaam Cave, where you can swim with sea turtles. Visit the hidden Maalum Cave and take a refreshing swim. Enjoy a delicious African lunch in Paje and end the day by soaking in the breathtaking sunset at Kae Beach.
Begin your tour by exploring the Jozani Forest, a great place to encounter many indigenous varieties of flora and fauna, including the Zanzibari Red Colobus Monkey. Other species that you might catch a glimpse of include the Mangrove conservation area, Blue Sykes’ Monkeys, Bush Pigs, Aders Duiker Antelopes, Elephant Shrews, Chameleons, and numerous birds and butterflies. The best time to see the wildlife of Jozani is early in the morning.
Next, visit the Salaam Cave, which houses and cares for sea turtles, providing a safe environment for these magnificent creatures. Visitors have the opportunity to learn about sea turtle conservation, as well as observe the turtles up close, feed them, and pose with them for pictures.
