Jerez de la Frontera: Historical Sightseeing Tour, Winery Tour, and Wine Tasting

Explore the historic center of Jerez with a local guide and end the experience in a traditional bodega with a sherry wine tasting. History, culture and wine in one sightseeing tour.
The experience begins in Arenal Square, the heart of Jerez de la Frontera, where you will meet your local guide. From there, we will get an introduction to the city before entering the historic center.

We'll continue to the neighborhood of San Miguel, one of the most traditional in Jerez, to learn about its history and its importance in the development of the city. We'll then head down to the area around the Alcázar, where we'll review the different historical periods that have marked Jerez, from its origins to its current evolution.

The tour will take us to Bodegas Tío Pepe, where you will visit one of the city's most iconic wineries. There you'll get a firsthand look at the very special way sherry wines are made, the criaderas y soleras system, and the unique atmosphere of these historic wineries. During the visit, you'll taste two wines: fino and cream.

After the winery, we'll continue to the cathedral area, where we'll tell you interesting facts about the city's religious history and the churches visible from its surroundings. We will continue walking through the streets and squares of the historic center until we return, via Plaza de la Asunción, to the starting point in Plaza del Arenal, where the activity ends.
