Travel from Paris to the Champagne region. Discover Reims and its Gothic cathedral, then tour the Pommery cellars with a tasting — or choose a private tour including Epernay and a grower tasting.
Spend a day in the heart of the Champagne region, just two hours from Paris.
Depart at 8:30 AM from Place de la Nation and travel east to Reims. On arrival at 10:30 AM, meet your guide in front of the cathedral.
Reims Cathedral & historic center (10:30 AM – 12:00 PM) — Discover Notre-Dame de Reims, the Gothic masterpiece where the kings of France were crowned for over 1,000 years, from Clovis's baptism site to Charles VII's coronation alongside Joan of Arc. Continue through the historic center: Place Royale, Place du Forum, and the art deco façades of the rebuilt post-WWI city.
Lunch break (12:00 PM) — Free time for lunch in the city center (at your own expense). Your guide can recommend local brasseries.
Champagne Pommery (2:00 PM) — Descend into the spectacular Gallo-Roman chalk pits, 30 meters underground, where millions of bottles age in 18 kilometers of galleries. The guided cellar tour ends with a champagne tasting.
Return to Paris in the late afternoon.
Private options — Prefer a fully flexible experience? Choose the private half-day tour (Reims city + Pommery) or the private full-day tour, which adds Epernay, the Avenue de Champagne, and an exclusive tasting at Pierre Morland, an independent grower on the historic lands of Dom Pérignon in Hautvillers. Hotel pickup included. An optional gourmet lunch in a selected restaurant can be added.

The cellar tour takes place 30 meters underground: bring a layer, the temperature is around 10–12°C year-round.
The cellars are accessed via a staircase of approximately 116 steps — not suitable for visitors with reduced mobility.
Participants must be of legal drinking age (18+) to take part in tastings; minors are welcome on the tour with soft drinks.
Comfortable shoes recommended for the walking tour.
This tour visits the cathedral exterior and interior (free access); no ticket required.
