Discover Georgia on a 3-day journey from Tbilisi, combining the country’s famous wine region, spectacular Caucasus Mountains, and fascinating ancient history. Each day starts and ends in Tbilisi, giving you the chance to explore a different part of Georgia without changing accommodation.

Day 1 – Kakheti Wine & Culture

Start your first day with a scenic drive from Tbilisi to Kakheti, Georgia’s renowned wine region. Travel through beautiful countryside and vineyards before visiting a local winery. Learn about traditional Georgian winemaking and enjoy a tasting of locally produced wines.

Continue to Sighnaghi, a charming hilltop town overlooking the Alazani Valley. Walk through its picturesque streets, discover its historic atmosphere, and enjoy time for photographs. Continue to Bodbe Monastery, an important religious and cultural site surrounded by peaceful landscapes.

After exploring the area, enjoy a traditional Georgian lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Tbilisi.

Day 2 – Kazbegi & The Caucasus Mountains

Leave Tbilisi and travel north through the dramatic landscapes of the Greater Caucasus. Stop at Zhinvali Reservoir for photographs before visiting Ananuri Fortress, a historic complex overlooking the water and surrounding mountains.

Continue toward Gudauri and stop at the Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the mountain valleys. Continue to Stepantsminda, the main town of the Kazbegi region, before heading to Gergeti Trinity Church.

Located high above the valley, Gergeti Trinity Church offers spectacular views of the surrounding Caucasus Mountains. Spend time exploring the area, taking photographs, and enjoying the mountain scenery before beginning the return journey to Tbilisi.

Day 3 – Mtskheta, Gori & Uplistsikhe

On your final day, travel west from Tbilisi to explore some of Georgia’s most important historical sites. Begin in Mtskheta, one of the country’s oldest cities and a major center of Georgian Christianity. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and continue to Jvari Monastery, situated on a hill overlooking Mtskheta and the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers.

Continue to Gori, a historic city and birthplace of Joseph Stalin. Visit the Stalin Museum and learn about his life and the historical period in which he lived.

Your final stop is Uplistsikhe, an ancient rock-hewn town carved into the cliffs. Walk through its caves, tunnels, chambers, and rock-cut structures while discovering how this remarkable settlement developed as an important center over centuries.

After exploring Uplistsikhe, return to Tbilisi and conclude your 3-day Georgian experience.
