Begin your sailing journey on the beautiful Scharmützelsee, just an hour from Berlin, with a structured three-day VDWS Basic Sailing Course at YAAS AM SEE. This hands-on course is designed for beginners and led by experienced instructors, guiding you through 12 hours of practical training and essential sailing theory.

Enjoy the unique atmosphere of one of Brandenburg’s cleanest and most picturesque lakes, often called the Brandenburg Riviera. Over three days, learn how to rig and handle a sailing boat, perform basic maneuvers, and understand navigation rules.

Cover essential knots, weather basics, and water safety, ensuring you gain the skills and confidence to sail independently. Each day combines on-water practice with theory sessions, making the learning process engaging and effective. Life jackets are provided and mandatory for all participants.

The course takes place at YAAS AM SEE, one of Europe’s largest water-sports centers and a recognized VDWS sailing school. The location is easily accessible from Berlin by RE1 train or car, making it ideal for a quick escape from the city.

At the end of the course, you have the option to take the official VDWS Basic Sailing License exam (Grundscheinprüfung) for an additional fee. The experience concludes at the YAAS base, leaving you free to explore Bad Saarow or relax by the lakeshore.
