Antonio Vivaldi's iconic cycle “The Four Seasons” is one of the most frequently performed masterpieces in European music history. Composed in 1725, originally for the orchestra of a Venetian orphanage, the four concertos continue to delight audiences today with their immediate expressiveness, vivid musical language, and inexhaustible energy.
The music takes listeners on a journey through a colorful world of nature images – from the awakening of spring to dramatic summer storms, autumnal festivities, and the quiet winter landscape. Each season unfolds its own atmosphere and invites the audience on an emotional journey of sound.
