Next, visit the Our Lady/ Saint Mary the Assumption Cathedral which is located just across the street from the mosque, the longest Roman Catholic Cathedral to be built in the shore of Jakarta. Learn about its roots to the King of Holland Louis Napoleon Bonaparte, the brother of the French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte.

Continue your tour with a drive through Jakarta's Chinatown on the way to Batavia Old Town, where famous markets and Chinese-Indonesian cuisines are located.

You will arrive in Batavia Old Town Square and walk through the path of the historical Dutch East India Company, or VOC, the main trading company for spices founded in 1620.

Visit the Jakarta History Museum, which was historically known as the former office of the VOC governor general. Take a nostalgic walk through the silent witness of the Archipelagoes spice trading history.

In the Batavia Old Town you could also pay a visit to an Indonesian Puppet Studio or also traditionally known as Wayang, an ancient performance from Java which has been recognise by UNESCO as tangible culture heritage since 2003.

Afterwards, take a walk around the former Batavia watch tower and ship entrance in the Museum Bahari. Finally, stop for photos at the Jakarta National Monument from the beautiful terrace before being dropped off back at your hotel or meeting point.
