Starting at the JR Nagoya Station Tourist Information Centre, you meet your English-speaking guide and head first to Nagoya Castle, where over 900 cherry trees create a breathtaking canopy around the iconic keep with its golden shachihoko ornaments—a striking contrast of heritage and sakura petals.
After soaking in the castle’s blossoms, take a short subway ride to Osu, a lively district where modern street life meets historic temples. Wander through covered shopping arcades, discover quirky boutiques, and visit Osu Kannon and Banshoji Temple, enjoying both urban energy and traditional ambience.
If it rains, we will spend more time exploring the covered Osu shopping arcades, allowing you to stay dry while enjoying the local shops and atmosphere.
Midday brings a scenic train ride to Tsurumai Park, one of Nagoya’s premier cherry blossom viewing spots with more than 750 trees. Here you experience traditional hanami—relaxing lunch beneath cascading pink branches, capturing perfect spring photos and savouring the fleeting beauty of full-bloom sakura.
