You will see beautiful natural landscapes such as limestone mountains and the Mekong River. This type of travel will give you a different experience compared to traveling by bus or plane.
Day 1: From Chiang Rai - Huay Xai - Pak Beng.
[5:00 AM] Van picks you up from any hotel in central Chiang Rai.
[5:40 AM] Van departs from Chiang Rai to Chiang Khong (border).
The van will drop you off at Friendship Bridge 4, the border area between Thailand and Laos.
[7:00 AM] Our team will escort you to a shuttle bus to cross the border to Huay Xai, the Laos border.
[7:15 AM] At the Huay Xai border, you will be taken care of by a new team from “Lao Luang Travel.” They will guide you through every step of the visa application process.
[7:40 AM] After you pass through immigration, our staff will take you in a Lao Luang or partner shuttle to a stop to join other customer groups and pick up a sandwich block before heading to the pier for a slow boat trip to Pak Beng.
[5:30 PM] The boat docks at Pak Beng pier. If you book a package that includes a hotel stay, a hotel staff member will pick you up from the pier and take you to the hotel for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Pak Beng - Luang Prabang
[8:30 AM] Check out from the hotel and check back at the pier.
Take a slow boat to Luang Prabang. The journey takes approximately 8-9 hours.
You will arrive at the slow boat pier in Luang Prabang at approximately 5:30 PM.
