Standing over 30 meters tall, the pagoda’s crown jewel is an exquisite cast-iron wind bird (Houfengyi) perched atop the spire. Serving as one of ancient China’s earliest preserved meteorological instruments, this rare iron bird still rotates smoothly with the breeze after more than eight centuries!
