Your journey begins in Pharping, a sacred pilgrimage town located approximately 23 km south of Kathmandu, overlooking the Bagmati River. Pharping is profoundly associated with Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche), the great tantric master who introduced Vajrayana Buddhism to the Himalayan region. Visit the revered Yanglesho Cave, where Guru Rinpoche meditated and attained the realization of mahāmudrā siddhi. Another key highlight is the Vajrayogini Temple, a 17th-century shrine founded by the Pamtingpa brothers. The stupa complex includes the iconic white dome crowned with a golden spire, Buddha’s all-seeing eyes gazing across the valley, prayer wheels, shrines, temples, and a Tibetan monastery.
