Your private Huaraz city tour begins at 11:00 AM with a visit to the main square, where you will see one of the city's central landmarks and learn about Huaraz and its history. You will then visit the Regional Museum of Ancash to discover archaeological pieces and learn more about the Recuay culture and the ancient societies that developed in the region.
Next, continue to the Pinar and/or Rataquenua viewpoint, depending on local conditions and access. From the viewpoint, enjoy panoramic views of Huaraz and the surrounding mountains. On clear days, you may also see some of the snow-capped peaks around the city.
The tour continues to the Wilcahuain archaeological site, where you will explore ancient stone structures and learn about the religious and social practices of the people who lived in the area. This visit offers an opportunity to understand more about the pre-Hispanic heritage of the Ancash region.
The final stop is Monterrey hot springs, a popular natural attraction near Huaraz. You will have time to visit the thermal baths and enjoy the surroundings before returning to Huaraz. Admission to the hot springs is not included and costs approximately S/ 10 per person.
The tour reaches a maximum altitude of approximately 3,200 meters above sea level. The activity ends in Huaraz at approximately 3:30 PM. Museum and Wilcahuain entrance fees are included in the tour price.
