Travel from Cusco to Puno with a guided bus transfer. Visit Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, and the Lithic Museum of Pucara, and enjoy a buffet lunch in Sicuani.
Start your journey at 6:45 AM, departing from the bus terminal in Cusco. Make your first stop in Andahuaylillas town, where you’ll visit the famous Colonial Church San Pedro de Andahuaylillas. Enjoy a guided tour of the church, marvel at its colonial golden canvases, and see the famous painting wall called “The Way to Hell and The Way to Heaven.”
Continue to the archaeological complex of Raqchi. See the Temple of Wiracocha God, surrounded by an artificial lagoon, Inca houses, and dozens of Inca granaries.
Take a break for a buffet lunch in Sicuani town to taste delicious Peruvian food and recharge your energy.
Next, head to the highest point on the route: Abra La Raya, a geographical and political border between Cusco and Puno. See the imposing Chimboya mountain towering at 5300 meters high.
Finish your trip with a visit to the Lithic Museum of Pucara and discover an ancient civilization that emerged in the South American high plains 2000 years ago. See the many anthropomorphic designs carved on stone, worshiped by the Pucara civilization, and don’t miss the famous sculpture called “The Beheader.”
