Start the tour in University Square and see the first signs showing the freedom of expression and the fight against censorship at the start of democracy in Romania's history. Continue strolling to an abandoned area where graffiti and street art make their homes, and begin to understand the hidden link between street art and the city's forgotten history.
Walking on to Pictor Verona Strada you’ll see where Bucharest’s largest annual alternative festival is held, and of course, the traces that have been left behind. Finish the tour in the most welcoming street art area. From libraries and bars to open movie areas or independent theatres, there are a lot of places that welcomed street artists and are now hosting murals and other art installations by young artists in town.
