This private boat safari takes you deep into a thriving wetland ecosystem, offering a close-up look at Sri Lanka's coastal flora and fauna. Accompanied by an experienced local guide, you will navigate the scenic riverways at a relaxed pace, perfect for photography and wildlife viewing.

Navigate Mangrove Tunnels and Spot Wildlife
The highlight of the safari is cruising through the dense, arched roots of ancient mangrove forests. These natural tunnels create a shaded canopy, home to a variety of wildlife. Keep watch for large water monitors basking on the banks, fruit bats hanging from the trees, colorful kingfishers, and purple herons. If you are lucky, you may even spot a juvenile crocodile in its natural habitat.

Discover Local Cinnamon Craftsmanship
During the tour, your boat will stop at a traditional river island where local families have produced cinnamon for generations. Watch a live demonstration of the intricate cinnamon peeling process and learn how this famous Ceylon spice is prepared. It is an authentic glimpse into rural island life before you enjoy a peaceful boat ride back to the launch point.
