Beschreibung

A trek in which we'll walk around Mount Tronador, sleep in mountain huts, and enjoy its views from different angles and landscapes.
DAY 1: We'll leave early from Bariloche for Pampa Linda, a place located 80 km from the city, at the foot of Mount Tronador. This is where we'll begin our trek. Our first destination will be the Ilón Lagoon. We'll cross the Alerce River on a suspension bridge, and then we'll start to gain elevation through the forest. From there, a steep climb begins that lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. The last part goes through a flat area surrounded by meadows and lenga forest until we reach Laguna Ilon. Upon arrival, we can rest and enjoy the beautiful sandy beach. Later, a delicious dinner will be waiting for us at the refuge, and then we'll go to sleep in the shared room domes, to continue our trek the next day.

DAY 2: After a hearty breakfast, we'll start our longest day on the trek. The trail runs through tall lenga and malline forests, ending in a rocky area with stunted lenga trees. Once we've enjoyed the views, we'll continue along the trail that will take us west for another hour through forests and pampas until we reach the scree slope to skirt Cerro Mar de Piedras. We'll continue climbing until reaching the highest point, the "La Marca" pass. From there, the descent begins, passing through forests of lengas and coihues, and then we'll go back up a foothill of Cerro Constitución. During the ascent, you can see the Huaca lagoon on the right in the distance, with very beautiful granite walls around it. We'll continue on until we reach the shelter, where we'll get comfortable in the rooms and share a delicious homemade dinner. This day of the trek is the most scenic, as throughout the route we'll have amazing views of Mount Tronador, getting closer and closer, where we can appreciate the beauty of its hanging glaciers and the long waterfalls of crystal-clear water that flow from them.

DAY 3: After a hearty breakfast with incredible views at the Rocca hut, we'll begin our last day of the trek. A day with "a little bit of everything," but above all, incredible views and the chance to enjoy the biodiversity of the Valdivian rainforest. The trail, which is not very busy, descends to the north of the lodge, first through a forest of lengas until it emerges in an open rocky area at the foot of the waterfalls that flow from the melting of the Frías Glacier. From there, it continues along the Frias River, through sometimes marshy terrain in the middle of the Valdivian Rainforest, until reaching Puerto Alegre, on the southern shore of Frias Lake. There, we will take a catamaran that will cross us to the north bank of the lake, where a bus will be waiting to take us to Blest Port. There, we can enjoy breathtaking views and then take a larger catamaran that will take us back to the city of Bariloche, disembarking at Puerto Pañuelo in the afternoon.
