Discover a different side of Addis Ababa on this four-hour evening food experience in the Haya Hulet neighbourhood. Across 5–6 curated stops and 12+ tastings, you’ll sample a wide range of Ethiopian flavours.
While menus vary depending on season and availability, highlights often include tender beef sautéed with berbere spices, colourful beyaynetu platters served over tangy injera, and kitfo, finely minced beef seasoned with warming mitmita, paired with fresh cottage cheese and sautéed greens. You may also try comforting duba quanta and tihilo, roasted barley dough dipped into rich lamb stew.
Ethiopian meals often include a drink, and this tour introduces you to traditional beverages such as honey wine, tella (a home-style grain brew), and areke, a local spirit. And no Ethiopia meal would be complete with out a traditional buna ceremony which highlights one of the countries oldest coffee traditions.

✖️ Unsuitable for vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian and halal diets as the number of tastings would be very limited. Gluten intolerance and lactose intolerance possible though some tastings do not have alternatives available and the menu would be more limited
✔ Suitable for no pork and no seafood diets, and mild nut allergies.
We recommend comfortable shoes as this is an easy-paced walking tour.
We operate come rain or shine, so please carry rain gear/umbrella if rain looks likely.
