Discover one of the prettiest villages on the Costa Brava. We'll stroll along its walls, a defense against pirates and privateers. Its fishing district with whitewashed houses and its beaches with crystal clear waters.
Tossa is a true open-air museum. Its prehistoric remains give way to a Roman Turissa, a medieval Tursa, and a modern Tossa, first a refuge for artists and intellectuals and later a generous host for tourists and visitors.

We'll walk along a wall with over eight centuries of history. Declared a national artistic historical monument in 1931, the walled enclosure of Vila Vella is the emblem of the municipality. It's currently the only example of a fortified medieval town that still exists on the Catalan coast. Built at the beginning of the 13th century to protect the population from pirate attacks, it retains almost all of its original perimeter area, with crenellated walls.

We'll discover the ancient smuggling routes, the Caminos de Ronda. These are seaside trails that run along the Costa Brava coastline from Portbou to Blanes.

We'll take a stroll through the old fishing district. The traditional neighborhood of Sa Roqueta, with its humble houses and flowery corners, is the result of the expansion of the population outside the walls in the 16th century. Today, it's a shopping area, full of little shops among its narrow streets and typical Mediterranean whitewashed houses.

After this guided tour, if you're interested in cuisine, try the 'cim i tomba', the most typical seafood dish in Tossa.
