Begin your tour at Kanoni, the most famous and photographed area of Corfu. Stop at the Church of Vlaherena, where a narrow 300-meter passageway connects the island with the church. Constructed in the 17th century, this lovely chapel has an impressive wooden-carved iconostasis and beautiful frescoes inside. The roof has red tiles and above the gate entrance appears a tall bell tower. From the Church of Vlaherena, enjoy the best view of the famous Mouse Island. Spend approximately 45 minutes here.

As you leave the Church of Vlaherena and go up the hill, stop for a photo on the top of Kanoni to get the best possible photo of the famous Mouse Island.

Next stop is the Mon Repo Palace & Archeological Museum. The Palace of Mon Repos was built in 1826 for the British Commissioner Frederik Adams who gave it as a gift to his Corfiot wife, Nina Palatianou. In 1864 when the Ionian Islands were united to Greece, Mon Repos was offered to the Greek royal family who used it as their summer residence for over a hundred years. Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, was born on June 10, 1921, on a dining table at Mon Repos Palace. Here you can explore the royal gardens and visit the renovated archeological museum. Spend approximately 1 hour here.

After only 10 minutes, arrive at the historic center of Corfu Town. Walk through history as you explore the city center, where you’ll find the Old Fortress, the Palace of St. George, the famous Liston, and Spianada Square. Enjoy 1.5 hours of free time to explore at your own peace.
