Beschreibung

Discover the beauty of the Northern Japanese Alps on a 2-day tour from Nagoya. Explore Kamikochi, walk through the Tateyama Kurobe Snow Corridor, and stay overnight in Hakuba.
Day 1: Kamikochi

Meet at Nagoya Station and begin your journey to the Northern Japanese Alps. Be ready 10 minutes early to ensure a smooth departure.

Step into the breathtaking Kamikochi, known as “Japan’s Little Jiuzhaigou.” Surrounded by pine forests and crystal-clear rivers, follow one of two routes.

Route 1 (Beginner-friendly, ~3.5km, 1–1.5h): Taisho Pond → Tashiro Pond → Kappa Bridge → Kamikochi Bus Terminal. See stunning alpine scenery without backtracking, perfect for first-time visitors.

Route 2 (Advanced, ~5.6km, 2–2.5h): Kamikochi Bus Terminal → Kappa Bridge → Myojin Bridge → Hotaka Shrine Okumiya & Myojin Pond → Dakesawa Marsh → Kamikochi Bus Terminal. Enjoy tranquil river walks and hidden viewpoints away from the crowds at Kappa Bridge.

Highlights in Kamikochi:

Taisho Pond: A volcanic lake formed by Mount Yake’s eruption, featuring seasonal “dead trees” in the water.

Tashiro Pond: A shallow wetland, stunning with fresh greens in May, autumn colors in October, or thin ice in late autumn.

Kappa Bridge: Kamikochi’s iconic suspension bridge, offering panoramic views of the Hotaka Range and Azusa River.

Myojin Pond & Hotaka Shrine Okumiya: Sacred sites where pilgrims have prayed for centuries, surrounded by untouched nature.

Hotaka & Yake Peaks: Majestic mountains visible from various points, including Japan’s third highest peak, Oku-Hotaka.

Check in at Hakuba Sun Valley Hotel. Enjoy a relaxing stay with local cuisine. Breakfast offers Japanese and Western-style options; dinner features a traditional kaiseki set meal.

Note: If Kamikochi is not open due to seasonal restrictions (before April 14), the itinerary will be adjusted to visit Shirakawa-go + Takayama instead.

Day 2: Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route & Snow Corridor

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. If the Alpine Route starts earlier than hotel breakfast hours, a boxed breakfast or a 1,000 JPY allowance will be provided on the bus.

Start your journey on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, crossing the Japanese “Roof” via multiple transport modes: mountain train, highland bus, ropeway, tunnel bus, and sightseeing boat.

Marvel at snow walls up to 18–20 meters high, forming a breathtaking corridor. Walk along the path or enjoy panoramic views from the sightseeing bus. During early spring, lucky visitors may spot the rock ptarmigan, considered a “messenger of the gods” in Japanese lore.

At 2,450 meters, experience alpine lakes, snowy plains, and highland meadows. This is the highest point on the route, offering stunning views and a serene, spiritual atmosphere.

After two days of alpine exploration, scenic vistas, and cultural experiences, arrive back at Nagoya Station, concluding the journey.
