Follow Hokkaido from clear blue lakes to a glittering city night on a private day trip from Sapporo, with a driver-guide who brings each stop to life along the way.
Your driver-guide picks you up in Sapporo in the morning and shares the area's stories in Japanese, Chinese or English as you travel. You'll start at the Hill of the Buddha, where a giant Buddha statue rises from a hill ringed by lavender, then continue to Lake Shikotsu, a caldera lake famous for some of the clearest water in Japan.
On the way back toward the city you'll pass the whimsical Shiroi Koibito Park, home of Hokkaido's famous chocolate, and the tranquil grounds of Hokkaido Shrine, one of the island's most important Shinto sites.
As evening falls, you ride up Mt. Moiwa for the grand finale: a sweeping night view of Sapporo spread out in light below, one of Japan's celebrated night panoramas. Your driver-guide then brings you back to your hotel.
It is a fully private trip for your group only, and you can choose a 5, 9 or 17-seat vehicle, with your driver-guide handling the route, parking and local know-how so you can simply enjoy the day.
