Beschreibung

Explore the historic old town of Vilnius, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its history, architecture and hidden corners. Discover the charms of the Lithuanian capital on an engaging walk.
Join me for a relaxing and engaging walking tour through the heart of Vilnius, one of the best-preserved medieval capitals in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Together, we will travel through more than 700 years of history, from the legendary dream of Grand Duke Gediminas to modern-day Lithuania. Along the route, you will discover how Vilnius became a city where different cultures, religions, and traditions coexisted side by side, earning it the nickname of the "Jerusalem of the North".

This tour goes far beyond dates and historical facts. I will share with you fascinating stories, local legends, architectural gems, and surprising details that bring the city to life. You will discover why Vilnius is known as the city of Baroque churches, why almost 60% of the city is covered by green spaces, and how today's Vilnius has become one of the fastest growing technology hubs in Europe.

During our walk, we will visit many of the city's most important sights, including:

Cathedral Square
Gediminas Monument
The Palace of the Grand Dukes
Vilnius Cathedral
Pilies Street
The Presidential Palace
Vilnius University
St. Anne's Church
The Jewish Quarter
Town Hall Square
Uzupis
and several hidden courtyards and lesser-known places that are popular with the locals.

Whether this is your first visit to Vilnius or you're returning to discover more, this tour offers the perfect introduction to the city's history, culture, traditions, and everyday life.

At the end of our walk, you will not only know the city's main attractions, but you will also understand the stories that shaped Vilnius and receive numerous local recommendations for restaurants, museums, and places worth exploring after the tour.

I look forward to showing you my beloved city!
