Lake Khövsgöl, also referred to as Khövsgöl Sea, is a lake in Khövsgöl Province, Mongolia. It is the largest freshwater lake in the country by volume, and the second largest by area after Uvs Lake.
Conquering Lake Khuvsgul, known as the “Blue Pearl,” is located in Khuvsgul Province in northern Mongolia. Khuvsgul is the second-largest freshwater lake in Central Asia and contains about 2% of the world’s freshwater. It is the largest and deepest lake in Mongolia and one of the 17 ancient lakes of the world. Its total length is approximately 1,000 km, and it eventually drains into Lake Baikal, which lies only 200 km away in a straight line. The water is incredibly clear, allowing you to see every detail of the fish swimming a dozen meters or more below the surface.
