JinShanLing Great Wall-Ming Dynasty-English Tour

Compared with crowded Badaling and Mutianyu, Jinshanling has far fewer tourists. Partly restored and partly wild, it keeps authentic Ming‑Dynasty original appearances.
Known as “paradise for photographers”, it delivers spectacular views of sunrise, sunset and sea of clouds over rolling mountains. Hiking on Jinshanling, visitors can appreciate grand ancient architecture and magnificent natural mountain scenery at the same time.

Jinshanling Great Wall lies in Luanping County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, around 130 kilometers northeast of Beijing. It connects Gubeikou Great Wall in the west and Simatai Great Wall in the east, and is widely praised as the most splendid part of the Great Wall of China.

Built in the early Ming Dynasty, this section was first constructed under General Xu Da in 1368, and later renovated and reinforced by the famous general Qi Jiguang in 1567. Stretching 10.5 kilometers along mountain ridges, it owns 5 passes, 67 watchtowers and 3 beacon towers. The watchtowers vary greatly in shapes and structures, forming a complete and sophisticated ancient military defence systemChinacultu....
