Beschreibung
Immerse yourself to a Poon Hill from Pokhara. Enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas, trek through rhododendron forests, and experience local culture in Gurung villages.
Begin your adventure with a flight to Pokhara, a scenic city known for Phewa Lake and Himalayan views. From Pokhara, drive to Nayapul, the starting point of the trek.
Trek from Nayapul to Tikedhunga, a small village with tea houses and basic lodging. Walk through terraced fields, rivers, and small villages. Stay hydrated and take breaks on steep sections.
On day 2, trek from Tikedhunga to Ghorepani. This is a moderate to challenging day with several steep stair climbs. Walk through dense rhododendron forests (especially colorful in spring) and enjoy scenic mountain views en route. Take it slow on uphill sections; the trek is longer in terms of elevation gain than distance.
On day 3, hike to Poon Hill to witness the sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. This is the highlight of the trek. After sunrise, trek down to Ghorepani, then continue to Tadapani. Trek through lush forests and small villages. Carry a warm jacket for early morning, and a good camera for sunrise shots.
On day 4, trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk. Visit traditional Gurung villages and experience local culture. Explore terraced farms and enjoy scenic mountain views. Stay in a teahouse or homestay to experience authentic local lifestyle.
On the final day, trek from Ghandruk to Kimche, then drive back to Pokhara. Enjoy mostly downhill trekking, easier on knees and legs. Take in the last glimpse of Annapurna landscapes before returning to Pokhara. Enjoy a relaxing evening in Pokhara by the lakeside after the trek.
